Transmissions is a commissioned-project, which was part of the yearly art and music festival North by North-East NXNE in Toronto. Implemented in the walkway of Ryerson University, I used the possibilities of surface, scale and physical dialogue of the specific architecture to create a new narrative of the « entrance ». The ephemeral installation I proposed played with the multiple layers of representations of a landscape, at the border of abstraction and nature. I thus imagined a series of both subtle and invasive interventions on site. Stained fabrics were hung above the entrance, visible from a distance. On the floor, a line of colored shapes followed the stones of the walkway guiding the visitors to the garden. On the brick walls and glass windows, I expanded the perspectives by pasting fragmented black and white landscapes. A series of paintings merged into the grey stone of the eight pillars, creating eight imperceptible polyptichs, superimpressing an intimate and poetic environment on the existing one.
